Virginia Artists In Action (VAIA) is a member-run art association dedicated to the enrichment and support of professional artists living and working in Virginia in their pursuit of creativity, personal expression, education, financial independence and social awareness. Artist’s works consist of music, 2-D, 3-D, dance, poetry/writing, clothing, and mixed-media.  A portion of all proceeds from the sale of member artwork through the association’s website and events goes to support various Virginia non-profit’s selected by the participating members.

The objective of VAIA is to showcase artwork by Virginia artists around the state and to make a global awareness of the quality and importance of arts in Virginia.  VAIA enhances the visibility and professional credibility of VA artists and allow them to display work at numerous venues in order to increase their productivity, ability to continue working, and enrich and support the community where they work.

Each artists manages his or her own career and designates a Virginia non-profit as the beneficiary of either donated artwork or a portion of proceeds from the sale of their work.
